Nature Explores used pieces of bark, wood and sticks to make little structures. This helped build the understanding of laying a campfire by stacking and leaning wood against each other. The children then added grass and leaves to make the little structures more home like. They then used woodland animals to create their own little village to play with. #outdoorlearning

Juniper have been very busy writing this week. They have completed haikus and an independent write of their choice. The Haikus were about the jungle and are very descriptive.

In Seedlings we had another visitor this week with Pine class. Firefighters from Harleston Fire station came to talk to us about how they keep people safe. They sent children away with some homework, to check if they have working smoke alarms in their homes. They showed us around the fire engine, talked about the equipment and we even got to use the hose! A big thank you to the Fire Fighters for taking the time to come and see us.

Sycamore class have been busy writing newspaper reports. They have been learning about the key features and using formal and informal tone. Some of the children even linked their newspaper reports to their previous 'suspense' narratives! The pupils have been working really hard on the presentation and it has been wonderful to see them taking pride in their work.

We have a new sign in the round window at Mendham Primary School and it looks amazing! Thank you to the very kind parent who made this for us Mr Driver and the #consortiumtrust Premises team who put it up for us.

Last week the whole school took part in the NSPCC Number day where we came to school as a digit or a rock star to link into #TTRockStars. We raised £20.50 for the charity.
