Sycamore class have been extremely busy over the last few days. They had been set the task to create a presentation based on Charles Darwin and the theory of evolution and to explain their learning to the other classes and staff of the school. The children worked fabulously, either independently or in small groups and created some fantastic displays! They produced biographies of Charles Darwin, information texts about the Galapagos Islands and it's animals and habitats, as well as designing and making their own topographical Islands! It was great to see how engaged, invested and enthusiastic the children were with the project, linking lots of subjects throughout the curriculum. Well done to everyone!

Friends of Mendham School Association (FoMSA) need your support. As pupils will be moving on to high school soon, we will loose key members of the team and FoMSA need parents or family members of pupils in school to support them and in turn support Mendham Primary. The house of Magic is this weeks film club movie, come along and lets watch it together.

The Year 6 pupils were treated to a picnic lunch this afternoon to celebrate their hard work during SAT's! Well done to all of them!

Logan who is one of our Science ambassadors has been busy teaching the younger children of the school all about physics during lunchtime! He has been using our Ogden trust partnership lunchtime activity boxes to help them understand how sound travels. This was explained by making and using 'telephones'! Fabulous to see the learning and the leadership skills developing!

Suffolk Music Service deliver Brass instrument instruction to our Year 5 and 6's each week, here are some external groups with may be of interest.

This half term Key stage 2 has been working hard on developing their knot skills. The children have then applied them to help make shelters of various styles.
